Police have charged two men with murder following death of a 25 year old man in Rotuma last week.
Assistant police spokesperson Suliano Tevita said 25 year old Pelarasi Motofaga and 27 year old Jiuta Daucina appeared in a special court sitting at the Rotuma District Court yesterday and they have been remanded in custody.
The three were in a drinking party when it is alleged that the deceased was assaulted by the accused and was pronounced dead on arrival at Rotuma Hospital.
The case has been transferred to Suva and both the accused have been ordered to board the next boat that arrives in Rotuma.
