Fiji’s revised forecast growth rate is 3.6 percent surpassing that of our bigger neighbors, Australia and New Zealand.

Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama while officially opening the new Paper Power headquarters and warehouse in Nadi said only twice before in Fiji's history have we enjoyed such consistent economic growth.

Commodore Bainimarama said the launch of Paper Power underlines the fact that Fiji is open for business, it sets an example to others about the value of local investment in our nation.

Commodore Bainimarama said Government has also set about to create the right climate for new investment, among them consistent policies, a sound and determined economic direction and the modernizing of our outlook and infrastructure.

The Prime Minister added that what is also paying dividends in creating confidence in the Fijian economy are the various concessions and incentives on offer.

He said the country's biggest revenue earner - tourism - new figures reveal that yields are increasing, with our international visitors not just continuing to arrive in large numbers but willing to spend more.

Meanwhile Paper Power currently employs 25 people in their six outlets in the Western Division.
