Police are questioning a man in relation to an alleged murder of an Asian man on board a fishing vessel.

Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the man was said to have died on board the Chinese vessel on the 30th of last month.

Sokomuri said the Captain of the ship and the crew members had locked the suspect away before they grounded on a reef near Gau Island.
