A decision on whether Aaron Cruden travels with the Chiefs to Fiji will not be made until after they have their bye week.
Cruden was withdrawn from the Chiefs match against the Reds last Saturday after he reported having concussion symptoms as he was travelling home from training.
Chiefs coach Dave Rennie plans to have a couple of training sessions with the squad this week before they regroup and fly to Suva next Tuesday to prepare for the table topping Crusaders.
Cruden's absence will now allow veteran Stephen Donald to notch up his 98th match for the Chiefs.
It’s also more good signs for the Chiefs after the return of All Blacks Charlie Ngatai and Nathan Harris.
The Chiefs will meet the Crusaders at the ANZ Stadium in Suva at 7.35pm next Friday.
The Crusaders take on defending champions, Hurricanes at 7.35pm this Saturday in Christchurch.
