Close to 70 government officials including army officers from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces were today part of a clean-up campaign organised by the Ministry of Forestry.

The clean-up campaign led by the Minister of Fisheries Semi Koroilavesau began from Tacirua to Colo-i-Suva and government officials walked along the main road picking up all types of rubbish.

Koroilavesau says that the clean-up had initially began last Wednesday led by the Minister of Forests Osea Naiqamu, cleaning up parts of the Colo-i-Suva forest with staff members.

He adds that the government will continue with this clean-up campaigns and they hope to get other government departments to be part of this initiative.

The Minister of Fisheries is urging all Fijians to stop this unlawful act of littering and think of the future of our country.
