Australia has won the Sydney 7s Women’s competition after beating New Zealand 31-0 in the Cup final this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team has finished in 10th place in the Sydney 7s after losing 29-10 to England in the Challenge Trophy final.
The Fijiana had beaten Japan 19-10 to qualify for the playoff.
In the Pool stage, the Fijiana lost 24-12 to Canada and were also defeated 17-14 by Ireland.
USA will meet Ireland in the 7th place playoff while Spain and France will face off in the 5th place playoff.
Russia will meet Canada in the 3rd place playoff.
The Cup final is between Australia and New Zealand.
