A heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and the Lau Group.

The Nadi Weather Office says a Tropical Disturbance with an associated active trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the Fiji Group.

People can expect occasional rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms.

Localised heavy rain may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.

A Flood alert remains in force for all low lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to major rivers for the whole of Fiji.

Meanwhile Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed that 10 roads in the Western division are closed due to flood waters.

These are the following roads that are currently closed, Navala Street in Ba, Lawaki Road, Nailuva Road, Navuniyaumunu Road, Lau Road and Nausori Road in Rakiraki, Naseyani Road and Dramasi Road in Tavua, Nacocolevu Road and Ciri Road in Sigatoka.

Meanwhile Savudrodro Road in Savusavu is now closed to all traffic.

However all roads in the Central, Eastern Division remain open.
