Thousands of people living along elevated areas between the Suva to Nausori corridor have been without water since yesterday as a result of a water pump breakdown.

Areas affected include Wainibuku, Nasinu, Toorak, Flagstaff, Tovata, Tacirua, Nagatugatu, Dokonaisuva and Colo-i-Suva.   

The disruption will remain till Wednesday.

The Water Authority of Fiji says repair works have finished and the disruptions are due to low levels of water in the reservoirs.
