Fiji star winger Nemani Nadolo is calling for SANZAAR to introduce a Pacific Island team to the Super Rugby competition.
Nadolo told foxsports that Samoa, Tonga and Fiji idolise Super Rugby and that they watch more Super Rugby than their heroes who play in Europe.
He says that if a game is taken to Samoa, Tonga or Fiji and the ticket prices is reduced it will get numbers through and it will bring everyone together.
Nadolo adds that a Super Rugby Team is what the island nations need at the moment.
He says that the Pacific Island Nations need a team that will put us back on the map and Super Rugby would be the ideal competition.
Fiji has hosted successful Super Rugby matches between the Chiefs and Crusaders over the last two years, while Samoa also hosted a Reds v Blues match last year.
The Highlanders and Chiefs will play in Suva this season.
Nadolo says his preference would be a combined Pacific Islands team so that all the regions’ resources could be pulled together.
