The Chiefs have named Charlie Ngatai and Sam Cane as their co‑captains for the upcoming 2018 Super Rugby season.
Cane has shared the role with Aaron Cruden over the past two campaigns before the first‑five departed for France last year.
Ngatai has captained both the Maori All Blacks and Taranaki under new Chiefs coach Colin Cooper, who had no hesitation in selecting the pair.
Defending champions, the Crusaders will play the Chiefs at 6.35pm the Saturday.
The Chiefs will name their team later today.
The Blues will face the Highlanders at 6.35pm Friday while the Reds will take on the Rebels at 8.45pm.
On Saturday, the Sunwolves take on the Brumbies at 4.15pm, while the Waratahs will host the Stormers at 8.45pm.
On Sunday, the Lions play the Jaguares at 1.05am while the Bulls take on the Hurricanes at 3.15am.
