The National Disaster Management Office has received 200 smartphones from Huawei  in an effort to strengthen communication during disasters.

Minister for Rural, Maritime Development and National Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu says they are focused on developing the technology within.

Seruiratu says the assistance from Huawei will make a significant impact on the work they do in terms of communication.
