The Fiji Electricity Authority has confirmed that a lightning strike to a 132kv transmission line from Wailoa to Vuda and Vuda to Cunnigham was the cause of the Viti Levu power outage yesterday.

Viti Levu had experienced a power outage for more than hour yesterday afternoon.

FEA has also confirmed that power was later restored to most parts of Viti Levu after 6pm last night.
