An accident involving a bus and a private vehicle occurred at the Laqere Bridge a short while ago.

An eye witness at the scene has confirmed that police was at the scene shortly after the accident and traffic has been cleared off now.

He says the passenger in the private vehicle had sustained an injury on her head and was taken to the hospital.

The eye witness has confirmed that the private vehicle has been towed away.
