Fiji Airways Drua prop Kalivati Tawake could make his Super Rugby debut for the Waratahs this weekend.
The Waratahs will not take Sekope Kepu on tour to South Africa and Argentina despite scrum issues against the Stormers last weekend.
Tawake has been included in the travelling squad.
Waratahs coach Daryl Gibson says Tawake will add more strength and will link well with some of the new forwards including Australian under‑20s lock Lachlan Swinton and Wallabies hooker Tolu Latu.
The Waratahs will take on the Sharks at 1.05am Sunday.
