You are allowed to make mistakes just once but learn from it and never make the same mistake again.

This was the message of a member of the World Bank Inspection Panel and one of the original members of the Leadership Fiji Board Imrana Jalal at the launch of the 17th year of the Leadership Fiji Programme.

While speaking to the participants, Jalal also said that leadership is not a popularity contest.

The programme has over the years built a formidable force of graduates that numbered a little over 380 Alumni members and this year will feature 30 new participants.

Leadership Fiji Chairman William Parkinson says that the programme has seen alumni numbers grow significantly each year with community leaders whose leadership skills have been enhanced via an intensely comprehensive holistic program.

This year’s participants will be engaged in a 10 months module that includes 18 sessions and site visits with content structure on national issues relevant to the current environment.
