The Canterbury Bulldogs defeated the Penrith Panthers 20‑18 last night.

Six tries were scored in the first half, before only one in the second.

The Bulldogs are off the mark in 2018 while Penrith lose their first match.

Nathan Cleary didn't play the second half due to a knee injury he sustained throughout the first period.

In another match last night, a controversial 86th‑minute penalty has helped the Brisbane Broncos snatch a 9‑7 win over the Wests Tigers in golden point.

Today the Raiders meet the Warriors at 4pm, the Rabbitohs take on the Sea Eagles at 6.30pm while the Eels face the Sharks at 8.35pm tonight.
