The Minister for Health and Medical Services Rosy Akbar has launched the clean‑up campaign for the Western division in Nawaka, Nadi.

The initiative "Fight the Bite" clean‑up campaign is to assist in controlling the current dengue fever situation in Fiji.

The Health Ministry has so far recorded over 1,000 persons being affected by the disease in the past two months.

Akbar also urged youths and students to be the agent of change and lead the fight against dengue and unhealthy living.

She adds that it is imperative that everyone took up the challenge in fighting of this vector‑borne disease and to take a stand against littering.
