This was the sound that echoed through the Centenary Church as children took centre stage today to lead Church services to mark the start of the Holy week and commemorate Palm Sunday.

Palm Sunday marks a time in the Christian calendar when Jesus Christ is welcomed into the city of Jerusalem as the King of all people.

Fijivillage also spoke to children this morning to ask them what Palm Sunday means to them.

Meanwhile, Methodist Church of Fiji Secretary of Communications, Reverend Wilfred Regunamada says that they encourage their members to ensure that their children are safe, cared for, nurtured and not only educated academically but culturally and spiritually as well.

He adds that the Methodist Church of Fiji will have the theme of Evangelism to the youth and the world and is based on how we bring up, train and nurture our children to face the world and encounter the social issues that there are today.

As Christians around the country and the world commemorate Palm Sunday, the Methodist Church of Fiji is urging parents and guardians to listen to their children and their concerns.
