Police are currently investigating an alleged vandalism act by some students in Lami.

Acting Chief of Intelligence and Investigations, ACP Vakacegu Toduadua says vandalism is an offence and the students will be charged under the Crimes Act.

Many people have started raising concerns regarding students involved in vandalism and damaging property.

Calls are also being made for eyewitnesses to come forward with the identities of the students involved in these incidents to assist Police in the investigations and the laying of charges.

It was earlier highlighted that some Lelean students had damaged two Nasese Buses Limited buses after the Triple N Zone earlier this month.The bus drivers are now getting worried and even scared as the buses are being stoned by some students

The incident in Lami happened on Monday at around 7pm where a group of students had stoned a bus belonging to Shore Buses Limited.

Shore Buses Operations Manager, Aman Singh has claimed that a group of students had vandalized a bus from their fleet which they had just recently bought.

He says the driver of the bus is certain that the students were in school uniform however he was unable to see which school the students belonged to.

The incident occurred at about 7pm Monday in Qauia and it is still unclear as to why this had happened.

Singh says the bus sustained damages worth $9,000 and he says this is not the first incident.

Police are calling for information from members of the public if they have the identities of the students involved.

People are also urged to give the identities of the Lelean students involved in the damaging of the buses after the Triple N Zone. The Lelean Principal had earlier said that she will not make any comments.
