It is a sad day for the Fiji Football Industry as former National Team Player Savenaca Nasara was laid to rest today.
Nasara, known as the ‘captain with one toe’ is widely known for leading the Tavua team to its first Fiji Fact victory at the Ratu Cakobau Park.
The Fiji Football Association Chief Executive Officer, Mohammed Yusuf has acknowledged the contribution that Nasara has made to Fiji Football.
He says it is a huge loss and he was a great player of his time and contributed immensely whenever he was given an opportunity to do so.
He says his thoughts and prayers go out to the family in this difficult time.
Nasara’s passed away last Thursday.
