Three men are in Police custody for their alleged involvement in an aggravated robbery case early Thursday morning where they injured a Police officer and damaged a police vehicle.

Acting Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu says that the alleged incident occurred at a grog shop in Nakasi whereby five men armed with knives and timber forcefully entered the shop and stole cash, cigarettes and a mobile phone belonging to a salesman.

Tudravu says that a team of officers that were conducting night operations arrived at the scene and were confronted by the group who allegedly attacked them by smashing the window of the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

An officer sustained injuries as a result of the attack.

Police are still looking for the remaining two suspects.

The three men are in custody at the Nakasi Police Station.
