Police Director of Operations Livai Driu has assured people that there will be no road closure during the religious procession from 5pm to 7pm today from Lami to Tamavua.

Driu says there will be full police presence to ensure that the march will only be on the footpath and the permit clearly states that the maximum number of people present should not exceed 200.

He says they will also ensure free flow of traffic during the procession as traffic is at it’s peak during this time.

The permit has been granted to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese for a march from their Lami Parish to the Tamavua Parish.
