The Fiji Warriors will now be known as the Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors after the company has been announced as the official sponsor for the team.
Swire Shipping Manager Chris de Villiers says they are proud to be an official sponsor of the Fiji Warriors as it is important for the Fiji Rugby Union to develop teams representing Fiji on the world stage.
De Villiers says as part of the sponsorship players will be used for skills training in local schools and communities.
Swire Shipping will also be donating new gym equipment to FRU.
FRU CEO John O’Connor says acknowledge the support as this will help FRU develop grass roots rugby in the country.
The Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors will be taking on Uruguay, Argentina and Italy from the 2nd to the 10th of next month.
