The Fiji Roads Authority is showing their deepest concern with the spate of recent acts of vandalism on bus shelters and on the road signs.

FRA says their contractors work hard in trying to put the signs and bus stops up and after such a great effort, to have someone deliberately damage the road assets is disappointing and unacceptable.

They say the acts of vandalism compromises public safety and it is associated with costly repairs.

FRA says the people need to be mindful that these signs are important to motorists and the public as they provide guidance on safety matters and help to prevent accidents.

FRA is advising the public to look after these assets for their own benefits.

The FRA is also urging the public to please be vigilant and report all instances of vandalism to the Fiji Police Force.
