Farmer charged for rape of 12yr-old girl in Levuka remanded

A 22-year-old farmer charged for the rape of a girl in his village has been remanded by Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili.

It is alleged that the man raped a 12-year-old girl on 6th April in a village in Levuka this year.

The case has been transferred to the Suva High Court and has been adjourned to the 4th of next month.
