The Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem has announced that the Fijian Elections Office will be conducting a final refresher training for all Elections Officials who have already signed their contracts.
Saneem says considering the fact that elections can be held between now and November, there is a high chance that some of the officials who had received the training last year or any refresher that they may have attended earlier this year, would be due for another refresher this year.
He says elections officials will be paid $45 for their attendance of the three-hour session.
He adds that officials can also make amendments to their contact or residential details during the training.
Over 10,000 officials are expected to attend this training and if officials do not attend this training they will not be permitted to work on Election Day.
