Boxing in Fiji will take a new turn this Friday with current champions, former champions, women and kids all set to take the ring at Prince Charles Park.
The Seaside Boxing Club in conjunction with 2018 Digicel Bula Festival will stage the Non Stop Charity Boxing Night in its bid to raise funds for the festival.
The promotion will have a total of 23 fights.
Sebastian “The Sniper” Singh will face Ratu Rakuro Taunivavana of Savusavu in the main bout.
The two will battle it out in the Super Welter Weight contest.
The main supporting bout will see the return of Junior Farzan Ali facing Jese Ravudi in the welterweight contest.
In women’s boxing, Inise Kaunimara of Suva will face Wainikiti Ceku. Ceku is part of the Nadroga women’s rugby team.
Kids boxing will also take centre stage.
The under 10 category will see Junior Freddy face Kavish Rao, both of Korovuto Primary School while the late Joy Ali’s son, 13-year-old Junior Joy Ali will face Melvin Kumar of Tavua.
In the veteran’s competition, former champion, Sakaraia Ve will fight Ilaitia Vaka of Navosa, Jeet Prasad will face Naveen Prasad while Wahid Khan of Lautoka will take the ring with Sovita Tabuarua.
This is not it as this boxing promotion will also have Priscilla bouts.
Lady Gaga of Nadi will take the ring with Phil Feeling of Lautoka while Temsy Marley of Sigatoka will face Jaylyn Seru of Tavua.
The boxing promotion starts at 4.30pm this Friday at Prince Charles Park and entry for adults ranges from $15 to $40.
Children’s ticket prices are $5 and $10.
