France has reached the final of the FIFA World Cup after they beat Belgium 1-0 in the first semi-final.
This is the first time that France has reached the final after the 2006 World Cup which they lost to Italy on penalties.
That match is famously remembered for Zinedine Zidane’s headbutt on Italy’s Marco Materazzi.

France is now playing back to back finals of a major international tournament as they had also played the final of the EURO 2016.
Barcelona defender, Samuel Umtiti scored the winning goal in the 51st minute.
France will now play the winner of the England and Croatia match. England will play Croatia at 6am tomorrow.
