Firefighters have managed to save a 5 flat house in Nabua Road this morning.

The house sustained partial damages in the fire.

The National Fire Authority Suva received a call about the fire at 6.16am and arrived at the scene at 6.23am.

3 fire trucks were deployed to the scene to control the fire.

Owner of the house, 50-year-old Avi Ram Singh says he was asleep when his wife had woken him up for a call with regards to a fire at their property.

He says he had invested almost a million dollars in this property.

He added that a new tenant was supposed to move into the 5 flat house today.

Singh says only two flats were occupied at the time of the fire.
