A 33‑year‑old Labasa man has been sentenced to 14-years imprisonment for raping his 13‑year‑old stepdaughter and sewing up her genitals.
The man had pleaded guilty to three counts of rape and a count of assault causing actual bodily harm.
The incidents occurred between 2013 and 2018 in Labasa.
High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar has also fixed a non-parole period of 12-years.
