The Japanese Ambassador to Fiji, Masahiro Omura has reassured Delegates at the Climate Actions Pacific Partnership Conference that the Japanese government will extend their cooperation through capacity building through the involvement of their government officials to work at the Pacific Climate Change Center.  

Omuro adds that they will also further include the introduction on the utilisation of renewable source of energy through Hybrid to the pacific.

He also reaffirm that the Japanese government has also made it a target to reduce green house gas emissions by 3.8 percent by 2020.

He says that they highly regard Fiji’s leading role in the Talanoa Dialogue on the talks on Climate Change.

Omuro also highlighted that Japan has also launched a photo side code of Talanoa Japan where Japanese Businesses, local communities and NGO’s will share good practices and promote their ambitions.
