A gloomy injury cloud has drifted over Labasa’s top striker Christopher Wasasala as we are just hours away from their Inkk Mobile BOG semi-final clash against Suva.

Fijivillage has been informed that Wasasala just had light training sessions throughout the week and is battling with a groin injury.

Team officials say Wasasala is not 100% and they are closely watching him in training runs and will also not force him to start tomorrow if he is hesitant to take clean shots at goal.

If Wasasala fails to recover on time then Thomas Steiner will get the nod to start at the striker’s position.

Steiner scored a crucial goal for the Babasiga Lions against Lautoka last Saturday and this goal kept Labasa’s chances alive of securing a semi-final spot.

Meanwhile, Labasa will also miss the services of top defender, Jale Dreloa who is suspended for a game.

Suva will play Labasa in the first semifinal at 2pm while the second semifinal between Ba and Nadi will start at 4pm tomorrow  at Churchill Park.

The final will be played at 3pm Sunday at Churchill Park.
