Wallabies great Mark Ella fears the Bledisloe Cup is becoming a "big yawn" as the All Blacks continue to beat Australia and dominate the Trans‑Tasman rugby series.

The Wallabies haven't held the Cup since 2002 and Ella is worried Australian fans would lose even more interest if the All Blacks were to retain the trophy for the 16th year in a row.

Ahead of the first 2018 test in Sydney, ticket sales have been reported as sluggish despite Rugby Australia chief executive Raelene Castle saying she was confident of a late surge for the opening match of the Rugby Championship at ANZ Stadium.

The 59‑year‑old is more worried about the Australian public switching off from Bledisloe tests altogether.

The Wallabies will host the All Blacks at 10.05pm next Saturday.
