Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs Naipote Katonitabua has raised concern about youths in urban communities, losing their traditional culture.
Katonitabua highlighted this while opening the 2018 National Craft Exhibition at the Valelevu Ground.
He says that it is important for youths to take pride and allow themselves to know about their culture and tradition.
Katonitabua adds that the knowledge of traditional crafts should be passed down to youths adding that most importantly to be innovative and to allow traditional knowledge to come alive in our young people.
The 2018 National Craft Exhibition is being based at the Hibiscus festival in Valelevu.
