A man alleged to have burnt a mattress and blanket while in remand appeared before Suva High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar via video link today.

Ledua Naba is charged with one count of act with intent to cause grievous harm.

He appeared in court via video link from the Suva Remand Centre.

The man was earlier charged for one count of unlawful wounding and one count of rape.

The case has been deferred to 20th September for plea.
