Digicel has announced its sponsorship for the 2018 Procera Carnival to be held at the Valelevu Grounds in Nasinu this weekend.
Digicel has signed on as a co-sponsor for the music carnival for the first time.
Digicel Fiji’s Head of Consumer Charlotte Taylor says the company was delighted to support the Music Carnival which will promote local singers, composers and musicians with the theme ‘Be Original Buy Original’.
Taylor says that they will do their best in promoting local musicians and composers as they have more than 150 artists with more than a thousand songs currently in the Digicel intunes catalogues and their recently introduced music application known has the d’music.
According to the Procera Managing Director, Mohammed Akif this year marks the eleventh year that Procera has been running the Music Carnival and it has been successful over the years.
Procera Music Carnival’s Event Coordinator Laisa Vulakoro says the sponsorship will help their committee organize another successful carnivals as they continue to showcase and celebrate local musicians and composers with eight days of entertainment.
