The Facebook account of CEO Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly one of the 50 million that have been involved in a security breach.

The New York Times says the accounts of both Zuckerberg and Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg have been affected.

The Newspaper reported that three software flaws in Facebook's systems allowed hackers to break into user accounts, including those of the top executives Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg.

Facebook hasn't revealed a lot about the data breach in which hackers exploited code that could let them take over around 50 million user accounts.

Zuckerberg explained that the company's investigation is still in its early stages. But this latest rupture is another bruise for a company that has already been hammered by a series of privacy and security violations, leading to a Zuckerberg grilling before Congress back in April.
