A 33-year-old man who was charged with one count of rape has been sentenced to 11 years and 3 months imprisonment by the Lautoka High Court.

The man had raped his close relative in Sigatoka in June, 2016.

At the time of the incident the man was 30 years old while the girl was 4 years old.

The non-parole period is 10 years.
