A vehicle accident on an Energy Fiji Limited power pole has caused power disruption in parts of Navua.
The unplanned power outage at 3 this morning has affected the supply of electricity to those in Waikalou, Beqa Place, Nakaulevu Subdivision, Nasasa, Sadro Road, Nasau Village, Vunibau Village, Chandar Bhan Subdivision, Tiri Villas Beach Resort, Raith Holdings Subdivision, Grace Road Food Company Limited and part of Queens Road from Ranadi Plantation to Sadro Road.
Teams were dispersed to attend to this fault in the early hours of the morning and power supply had been restored to majority of the areas by 6am.
Energy Fiji Limited says in order to safely carry out repair works some areas had to be isolated while repair works were being carried out.
This includes part of Queens Road from junction of Nakaulevu Road till junction of Sadro Road including, Vunibau Village, Nasau Village and the Grace Road Food Company Limited.
Repair works on the broken power line is expected to be completed by this evening.
