Officials of the Nacavanadi 7's tournament today received a Sponsorship cheque of $6,320 from Pacific Energy today.
Tournament co-ordinator Akariva Vura says that this would help them in their preparation.
Vura says that the 24 teams are expected to participate with registrations to end on the 16th of this month with the tournament to be held on the 7th and 8th next month.
Transportation will also be provided for teams that will participate with a boat schedule to leave Suva on the 6th and will return on the 8th.
The registration fee of each team is $300 with the prize money at $3000 dollars.
Meanwhile Vura adds that they have been in contact with 7's King, Waisale Serevi to be the chief guest at the tournament.
Vura says that this all the money gained from this tournament will go to the renovation of the Nacavanadi Village School.
