Cash‑rich French outfit Racing 92 appear to be leading the chase for the signature of All Blacks captain Kieran Read, claiming to have offered a contract to the 115‑Test loose forward.
With Read having said he wants to play overseas after the 2019 World Cup, French media claim that Racing are leading the chase for his services.
Read wouldn't be the first high‑profile All Blacks signing to join Racing, with Dan Carter famously representing the club after his international career, while the likes of Joe Rokocoko, Andrew Mertens and Casey Laulala also having played for Racing 92.
Meanwhile the All Blacks will face England for the first time in four years at 4am this Sunday.
