The case of Sitiveni Rabuka where he is alleged to have interfered with a FICAC witness has been adjourned to the 30th of January next year.
Rabuka’s lawyer Filimoni Vosarogo today highlighted in court that he had written to the court and FICAC lawyer before the case was called for his client to be excused as he is taking part in the Parliamentary Induction Ceremony which was held at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
Vosarogo has also asked that FICAC file an application to discontinue the case as the matter in which Rabuka is alleged to have interfered with the FICAC witness has been dismissed by Chief Justice Anthony Gates.
FICAC lawyer Sam Savumiramira confirmed the receipt of Vosarogo’s letter for his client to be excused.
He also advices the court that he would need time to make a decision on the discontinuation of this case.
