Women play a vital role in the family unit and now more then ever we see our ever important presence in the rearing and the up keeping of the Family unit.
These were the words of Minister of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Mereseini Vuniwaqa while officiating at the LDS Women’s Handicraft Show which was held at the LDS Hall in Samabula today.
Vuniwaqa says that these types of Expos will give women the opportunity to display their handicraft and also interact with each other.
She says that the status of women nowadays has significantly changed for the better yet some still don’t realise the concept of equal rights and the hardships women faced back in the days.
Over 60 women participated in the Women’s Handicraft Show held at Latter Day Saints Primary School Hall today.
