New Zealand Kiwi’s and Warriors star Shaun Johnson has signed a three‑year contract with the Cronulla Sharks today.

Johnson accepted the deal to represent the Cronulla club through until the end of the 2021 season as the playmaker.

The signing of Johnson is a major advantage for the Sharks, with the 28‑year‑old set to add x‑factor and attacking flair to Cronulla's backline from next season.

On signing his contract and committing to the Sharks, Johnson expressed his excitement about playing in blue, black and white for the next three years.

Johnson says that he can’t wait to join the sharks and adds that the Sharks are a tough side and they know how to win.

In joining the Sharks, Johnson is likely to play in the five eighth role linking up with Chad Townsend, with the pair enjoying two seasons together at the Warriors in 2014‑15.

The Sharks now have the option of playing Johnson, Townsend, youngster Kyle Flanagan and Matt Moylan in the halves in giving them plenty of playmaking depth next season.
