“The standard of health care or service should not be lower just because you are in Bua.”
Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete made this comment after speaking to the health officials of Nabouwalu Hospital this morning.
Waqainabete is touring the health facilities in the Northern Division.
He says with the upgrade, Nabouwalu Hospital will also have an operating theater and there is an opportunity for minor surgeries to take place there.
He says they will need to have discussions with the Medical Superintendant of Labasa Hospital to look at mechanisms to be able to do this.
