High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe has convicted 36‑year‑old Kritesh Kumar of 2 counts of unlawful possession of illegal drugs.

Justice Rajasinghe has however acquitted Kumar of the 1 count of illegal cultivation of drugs.

Kumar was found guilty of his charges by all three assessors in the case.

Kumar who is a father of two was found in possession of drugs during a drug raid in Nasinu.

The incident in November last year.

The 36-year-old will be sentenced next week.
