An employee of the Water Authority of Fiji appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court today charged with a one count of bribery.
It is alleged that Mohammed Shahfraaz Ali while being employed at the Water Authority of Fiji as the Regional Engineer Bulk without authority accepted an advantage in the form of an air ticket to Sydney Australia.
The ticket was worth $1,430.
Ali is alleged to have committed this offence between the 1st of March 2017 and the 30th June 2017.
He has been granted bail with two sureties and a $1,000 bail bond.
The matter has been adjourned to the 28th of next month.
