Australia built up a 175‑run lead by the end of the third day of the second Test against India in Perth.

The hosts were defeated in the first test of the series by 31 runs.

India had made two changes to their team before the second test of the series began, however the Australian team remained unchanged.

The second test of the series between the two countries will continue today in Perth, Australia.
