As Christmas draws near, residents towards the Southern end of Nadi now have something to be thankful for, especially as most of them have started receiving normal water supply.
The intermittent water supply has been an issue in the area for months and had just been recently fix by the Water Authority of Fiji.
Nadi Southern end residents thanked the Authority for the work which sees the successful commissioning of a 7.39kilometres transmission pipeline from Nadele to the Votualevu Rice Mill.
52-year-old Vivendra Vicky Singh the Constituency Member Advisory from Veilandan Road to Nawaicoba Police Post says that they have been suffering from a lot of water problems as water would resume during odd hours and it was hard for them to fill their buckets in the middle of nights.
Singh says he now experienced water pressure improvements and consistent supply to their area.
Water Authority General Manager Customer Services Sekove Uluinayau says that these works are part of the Nadi Water System improvement works.
