High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe has sentenced a man to 9 years 10 months imprisonment for 2 counts of unlawful possession of illegal drugs.

Kritesh Kumar was found guilty of his charges by all three assessors in the case.

Kumar was found in possession of 1.4 kilograms of methamphetamine during a drug raid in Nasinu in November last year.

Kumar can apply for parole after 7 years and 10 months.
